My Biography

Posted in Lilfe, Religion, Thoughts on Christianity, Uncategorized on July 2, 2009 by themousas

With all the recent deaths hitting Hollywood last week I began wondering how long it would take for some books to come out about their lives. I know a lot has already been written, and Billy Mays had his own reality show capturing his life, but just wait…the books are a coming!

In pursuing a spiritual journey I realize that God is crafting my biography. He created me in His image! His mission in my life is to reveal His image to others through me. His epic tale of my life is just beginning, chapters have already changed, new characters introduced, new plot lines developed. However, often I end up living a life creating my own autobiography. I try to write my own story, make my own journey. I’m learning now that my life is not just a biography written by God, but is also a biography about God and His work and mission in making me me!

Why it’s hard for me to blog

Posted in General Blogging, Religion, Thoughts on Christianity, Uncategorized with tags , on September 11, 2008 by themousas

I have a problem. I think to much! Ask…most of the people around me will tell you the same. Here’s where it hinders my blogging. I have so many thoughts on various things, but won’t post anything because I haven’t thought all the way through them….so they sit on a table and lose relevance while I process. Here are some thoughts sitting in draft status

  • my biography: it’s already being written
  • Her father’s eyes
  • is transfer growth in churches really that bad of a thing?
  • Outreach semantics: we stay to far away
  • JR Lee quote: “Incredible journeys begin with irreversible steps”
  • Book Review: I Became a Christian and all I got was a lousy T-Shirt
  • The dream cycle
  • Solving problems vs creativity
  • Rythms, Pendulums, Cycles, Music and Fire

drop a comment if you’d like any of these to be fleshed out sooner!

Spreading Christmas Cheer

Posted in Uncategorized on November 30, 2007 by themousas

So I found a part-time job….I get to sell Christmas trees! Actually, I’ve been there over a week now and have only sold about 5; but I’ve spent a lot of time unloading the 700+ trees, drilling the bottom of it (more on this later) and placing them in the stands. Also got some mulching in, about 30 tons of it spread around other trees in the nursery. So far I’m enjoying it, it’s a great workout. I’m using muscles I didn’t know I had; and only a few accidents…I dropped a tree on my foot last Friday. It’s still bruised.
