Momentum & Warfare

As Iron City is gaining some momentum and we are witnessing God at work something has become apparent…Spiritual warfare has been going on leading up to this, and has gotten heavier during this time in ICC life. Each day brings new pressures and challenges from a variety of angles. You don’t even see most of them coming.

“This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own.”  Ephesians 6:12-13a (the message)

I like this translation, especially being a sports fan. Since I can’t handle this on my own, my prayer is that these challenges build in me a stronger and deeper faith and dependence on Him. To often I try to fight these battles myself, when all I have to do is stop and wait.

“when men work, men work; but when men pray, God works”
